Back by popular demand!
Misty River Music Makers is hosting a free singing social event. Would you love to experience singing a cappella harmony? Interested in connecting with others who like to sing? Why not join us for an evening of fun as we learn a new song together?
7:00 pm start! After a brief vocal warm-up led by our director, Maria Kolano, we'll put our voices to use!
The evening's song is:
Build Me Up Buttercup
Words and Music: Michael D'abo and Tony Macauley
Voicings: Barbershop Voicings: Tenor, Lead, Baritone, Bass
Lead: The captains of our ship, singing that wonderful melody
Bass: Anchors the song with our lowest harmony. We are all about that bass!
Baritone: Floats above and below the Leads. Looking for a challenge? Try Bari
Tenor: Bring on the goosebumps with the highest harmonies.
Note: When you RSVP, you'll be prompted to pick a part to sing. Then, watch for an email from sing@mistyrivermusicmakers.org with a link to an audio track. The practice track lets you hear the song and get a feel for your part. When we get together on May 18th, we'll share the sheet music, practice each part, and try to put a few sections together!
Nervous? We get it. Nerves are normal. Be brave and join the fun. No single type of singer here. Just people who love music and sing for joy and connection.
