The Batavia Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Chamber member Bethany Lutheran Church with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!
Bethany Lutheran Church is excited to celebrate 150 years in Batavia during 2022 and will celebrate with events throughout the year. One of the first events is to recreate a congregational photo in front of the church, where we will cut the ribbon in celebration of their momentous anniversary. Bethany, initially called the Swedish Evangelical Lutheran Church of Batavia, was originated on August 1, 1872. Worship was originally conducted in Swedish.
