Batavia Lions Club to Hold Annual Plant Sale Fundraiser May 8 to 9

Batavia, Ill – The Batavia Lions Club will hold their most colorful fundraiser of the year on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9. This year marks the 44th annual plant day for the service organization.

Locally grown hanging baskets will be available for $30 each and would make a wonderful Mother’s Day gift. All proceeds support the club’s philanthropy projects for Batavia residents. 

On Friday, May 8, baskets will be available to purchase from 5 to 8 p.m. at the corner of Wilson Street and Water Street in Batavia. Saturday, May 9, baskets will be offered at four locations beginning at 9 a.m. Sales will continue until 2 p.m. or sooner if supplies run out. Saturday locations (all in Batavia) are:

  • Corner of Wilson Street and Water Street
  • Corner of Wilson Street and Prairie Street
  • 750 Main Street at Mallory Street
  • Roaming wagon in 14th Colony / Cherry Park 

Payment by cash, checks, or credit cards are welcomed.
